WHAT IS IT?

Naturalization is the legal process by which a permanent resident becomes a citizen of the United States. Citizenship offers full protection under American law, full freedom of movement and political participation, including the right to vote and hold certain public offices.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP?

  • Be able to read, write and speak basic English
  • Have knowledge of US history and government (civics test)
